Governors

School Governors have a very important part to play in the life of our school. They meet as a full governing body at least twice each term to make decisions about how the school is run. However much of the work of the Governing Body is carried out by various sub-commitees, which meet as required between each main meeting and report back. Governors who do not work in school all have a curriculum area in which they take a special interest and they meet regularly with subject co-ordinators.

The minutes of each governors meeting are displayed on the notice board outside the office and you are most welcome to read them. If you wish to speak to the Chair of Governors, she can be contacted through school.

As parents you are able to elect parent governors to serve for a 4 year period. School will notify you when vacancies arise. Whilst it is quite a responsibility being a governor, training is available to help prepare for the role.
